Our Story
Made slowly, by hand, to be lived with. Earthmede started as one small Etsy shop and a love of solid wood. Every piece is still turned, carved or painted by hand, in small batches, for homes across the UK and Europe.
Who we are
We believe the things you use every day should be made by someone who cared how they turned out. Earthmede began on Etsy, one hand-finished piece at a time. Today our pieces live in hundreds of homes across the UK and Europe.
Made by hand
Every table, bowl and tray starts as solid mango wood. It is turned, carved or painted by hand in small batches, so each piece carries its own grain and brushwork.
Made to last
We choose solid wood, food-safe finishes and plastic-free packaging wherever we can, and we make pieces meant to be used every day for years.
Designed in London
Our small team in London designs the range, checks every order and answers every message. Questions? Write to us at hello@earthmede.com.
How Earthmede grew
No factory lines — just a growing circle of makers and customers who found each other one order at a time.
- It began on Etsy. A handful of hand-finished side tables and bowls, listed on Etsy. The reviews that came back shaped everything we made next.
- Made by hand. Each piece starts as solid mango wood and is turned, carved or painted by skilled artisans — in small batches, never mass-produced.
- Designed in London. The range is designed, checked and sent from London to homes across the UK and Europe.
